Welcome to the new TLA Steel Band website

The award-winning TLA Steel Band are based at The Littlehampton Academy. Formed in 2005, the band currently has over seventy performers in four bands. We run weekly pan classes for primary school students and hope to run adult classes from January 2012.

2011 has been the most amazing year. Our bands have performed in Paris (intermediate band), Germany (small advanced band) and Switzerland (advanced band). We hosted the first ever event steel band festival in Littlehampton and our advanced band won an award for outstanding performance at the Music for Youth National Festival in Birmingham. We also purchased a brand new set of steelpans which were custom made for us in Trinidad.
